Damson Idris Calls Out Misogynistic Black Men In Resurfaced Post Amid Wave Of Abu$e Allegations In Entertainment
Damson Idris is tired of watching Black women get torn down online—especially by Black men—and his powerful 2023 words calling it out are going viral again. “I see so much unprovoked hatred towards Black women today by predominantly grown Black men,” he wrote. “The compulsion to humble these women… makes you feel like more of a man. I promise you, you aren’t men to us. A new year is approaching, grow up.”
With recent headlines flooding social media—Cassie’s disturbing testimony against Diddy, Halle Bailey’s restraining order against DDG, and Tory Lanez’s supporters claiming he was falsely imprisoned—Black women have faced another wave of doubt and attacks. In response, Damson Idris’ stance is being celebrated.
“Shout out to Damson Idris for being one of few that stood up for us,” one user posted. Another added, “Glad he’s standing up for Black women instead of falling in line with the ‘bros.’”
