Verizon Becomes Latest Company To Scrap DEI Policies
Verizon is backing away from diversity, equity, and inclusion.
According to NPR, the company told the FCC it’s ending several DEI-related efforts, including removing language from training materials and websites, scrapping bonuses tied to hiring women and minorities, and dissolving its internal DEI team.

In a letter to the FCC Chairman (nominated by Trump), Verizon’s chief legal officer Vandana Venkatesh wrote,
“We are committed to creating a culture that leverages and values each person’s unique strengths and talents. However, we recognize that the regulatory and policy landscape surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion (‘DEI’) has changed.”
Subsequently, the FCC approved Verizon’s $20 billion deal to buy broadband provider Frontier Communications…
