Kid Cudi Testifies His Porsche Was Set On Fire Weeks After Diddy Allegedly Broke Into His Home

Kid Cudi has taken the stand in the ongoing federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The rapper, real name Scott Mescudi, testified earlier today (May 22) about a 2011 incident in which his Porsche was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail.

Cudi claimed the attack occurred just weeks after Diddy allegedly broke into his home, upset over Cudi’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, a detail Cassie also confirmed in earlier testimony.

Cudi recounted taking Cassie to a hotel in West Hollywood to distance her from what he described as a “seething” Diddy. While there, he said he received a call from Diddy’s assistant, Capricorn Clark, who told him that the media mogul and an affiliate had entered his home and taken Cassie with them.

Cudi said he left the hotel immediately and called Diddy on the way home to confront him. According to Cudi, Diddy answered calmly and said:

“I want to talk to you.”

When Cudi arrived home, he said Diddy was no longer there, but the scene was unsettling. Christmas presents meant for Cudi’s family had allegedly been opened, and his dog had been locked in a bathroom. Unsure of what was happening, he called the police.

Cudi also claimed that a few weeks later, he received a call from his dog-sitter saying his Porsche 911 was on fire. A friend soon sent him a photo of the burned car. Prompting immediate objection from Diddy’s legal team, Cudi reportedly stated during his testimony:

“I knew [Diddy] had something to do with it.”

The judge reportedly instructed the jury to disregard the remark.
