Diddy Reportedly Lost James Brown Biopic Role To Chadwick Boseman
In another universe, there’s a chance that Sean “Diddy” Combs starred as James Brown.
According to reports, Diddy’s former assistant, who is testifying under the pseudonym “Mia,” revealed during cross-examination that the music executive auditioned to play James Brown in the 2014 biopic Get on Up. While on the stand, several of her text conversations with Diddy were shown to the court as evidence. In one exchange, she noted that her then-boss was “auditioning for the role” of James Brown, and detailed in another the “production” that went into his audition tape. The role, however, ultimately went to the late Chadwick Boseman.
In one of the shown messages, Mia appeared to reference Chadwick’s 2020 passing, writing to Diddy,
“Thinking of you with Chadwick Boseman.”

Mia has claimed that her 8 years working for Diddy were traumatic, accusing him of physical abuse, rape, and once forcing her to take ketamine. She added that she was “brainwashed” by the “Last Night” artist and still deals with “severe PTSD” from all she allegedly had to endure.
Diddy’s sex trafficking trial kicked off last month. His charges also include racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, he could be sentenced to life behind bars.
