Deion Sanders Facing Unknown Health Issue That’s Keeping Him Away From Coaching, Son Says ‘He’ll Tell Y’all Soon Enough’
Deion Sanders is currently away from Colorado as he reportedly deals with a health issue that has not yet been publicly disclosed.
According to his son, Deion Sanders Jr., the 57-year-old football coach is resting at home in Texas and has not been with his team in Boulder as they prepare for the upcoming season. In a June 8 livestream, Deion Jr. said:
“He’ll tell y’all soon enough what he going through, what he went through,” adding that his dad is “feeling well.”

Sanders also canceled an appearance at a sickle cell disease symposium in Florida that same day, citing “an unavoidable last-minute scheduling change,” according to organizers.
In May, Sanders opened up a bit more during a podcast, saying, “What I’m dealing with right now is at a whole ‘nother level,” and revealed he had lost around 14 pounds.
The former NFL star has a long history of health issues related to blood clots, including the amputation of two toes due to complications.
Wishing Sanders a full and speedy recovery
