Robin Roberts & Her WIfe Amber Laign Reveal Why Living In Separate Houses Keeps Their Marriage Strong: ‘Trust Is Very, Very Big’
Robin Roberts and wife Amber Laign are proving that love doesn’t always mean sharing every square foot.
Speaking to E! News at the June 12 opening of “Call Me Izzy,” Laign shared the couple’s unique key to a thriving relationship: separate apartments.
But space alone isn’t the only magic ingredient.
“Communication, keeping it fresh, trust—all the good pillars,” she added.
Roberts echoed her sentiments: “Trust is very, very big. We’ve had peaks and valleys—mainly majority peaks, but there have been some valleys.”
One breakthrough came when they stopped viewing each other through the lens of childhood experiences. “It was a real understanding [of] having different paths to get here,” Roberts explained.
Amber also reflected on their start: “15 years ago I met you for drinks on a blind date that both you and I tried to cancel…twice.”
Thankfully, that date led to many more—and butterflies that still remain.
Would you live separately from your spouse?
