Diddy’s Defense To Rest Their Case w/o Calling Witnesses + Prosecution Closes Case w/ 34 Testimonies In S*x Trafficking Trial
Diddy’s defense team will not call any witnesses in his ongoing s*x trafficking trial, which began in May.
Prosecutors, who are expected to rest their case Tuesday, June 24, have called 34 witnesses—including Homeland Security Special Agent Joseph Cerciello, the final witness.
Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo confirmed that while no witnesses will testify for the defense, several exhibits have been submitted into evidence. This shift follows last week’s reports that the team planned to call at least three people, including two Combs Enterprises employees and a psychological expert.
Diddy himself is not expected to testify, though Judge Arun Subramanian will likely ask him to formally confirm that choice. Closing arguments are set to begin Thursday, June 26.
The trial has featured emotional testimony from Casandra “Cassie” Ventura and rapper Kid Cudi. Combs has pleaded not guilty to s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, and has been denied bail three times.
