Drake’s Requested Witness List In UMG Lawsuit Includes Kendrick Lamar’s Manager Anthony Saleh & Former TDE President Dave Free
Drake’s requested witness list includes some heavy hitters.
As part of his defamation lawsuit against UMG over the promotion of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” the rapper has named 63 people and companies who may have information that could support his claims. The list includes Kendrick’s longtime manager Anthony Saleh, former TDE president Dave Free, UMG CEO Sir Lucian Grainge, Republic Records co-founders Avery and Monte Lipman, and Interscope CEO John Janick. Streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, social sites like TikTok and Instagram, and live event partners like the NFL and Roc Nation are also included.

While inclusion on the list doesn’t guarantee they’ll be called to testify, it means Drake’s team believes they may have “discoverable information” related to the case.
If you recall, the lawsuit accuses UMG of using covert tactics to inflate the success of Lamar’s diss track, which famously referred to Drake as a “certified pedophile.”
