Brandy To Star Opposite Daughter Sy’Rai Smith In Upcoming Lifetime Holiday Movie
Beloved superstar Brandy is putting a whole new meaning on “Take your child to work day.”
Sy’Rai Smith is set to make her acting debut alongside her famous mother in a new Lifetime holiday film titled Christmas Everyday. In addition to starring in the project, Brandy serves as an executive producer. According to an excerpt from Deadline, Brandy “portrays Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, a devoted fashion designer juggling family obligations and career ambitions.” Meanwhile, Sy’Rai will show off her acting skills as Belle, the “bridezilla baby sister” of Brandy’s character, Fancy.

The plot centers around Fancy trying to keep their late father’s Christmas traditions alive as she balances life as the older sibling, which includes dealing with their mom’s health issues. Speaking on working with Sy’Rai, Brandy said,
“The holidays are always about family as part of the festivities, so I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Lifetime on this magical holiday project and having my own daughter star with me – even though we are playing sisters! It’s a Wonderful Lifetime has become such a beloved tradition, and I’m honored to star and executive produce.”
