Shannon Sharpe Confirms He Was Fired From ESPN: ‘They Did What They Felt They Needed To Do’
Shannon Sharpe is speaking out about his exit from ESPN.
On Wednesday’s (July 30) episode of his and Chad Ocohocinco’s Nightcap podcast, Sharpe said he found out he was let go earlier this week.
However, he wishes the news could’ve waited until Monday to be revealed, so it wouldn’t overshadow his brother Sterling Sharpe’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend.
He reflected on his time at ESPN, and said he’s grateful he was able to bring his audience to the network.
News of Shannon’s exit came just days after he settled a $50 million $exual a$$ault lawsuit.
