Unlicensed Florida Woman Allegedly Performed Veneers w/ Superglue, Accused Of Severely Damaging Patient’s Teeth
A Pinellas Park, Florida woman is facing serious charges after allegedly offering fake dental procedures without a license.
According to police, 35-year-old Emely Martinez was arrested for fraud and practicing dentistry without a license.
Investigators have unearthed more details about her shady business. Martinez allegedly used superglue to affix veneers to clients’ teeth, causing several victims to suffer infections and permanent damage, according to separate report by Fox News.
Martinez reportedly operated out of the Tapp Inn Beauty Bar, promoting herself as a veneer technician and charging $3,000 for a full set, despite lacking formal training or credentials.
“They actually have had to pay thousands of dollars to get their teeth fixed, and some of them had to wait for the infection to clear and go get their teeth fixed,” said Sgt. Windy Vater of the Pinellas Park Police Department.
Authorities say she may have treated children and possibly used different aliases and businesses. Martinez now faces charges for fraud and unlicensed dental practice. The investigation is ongoing.
