Julie Chrisley Lands New Cooking Show Months After Prison Release, Says She’ll Incorporate Recipes Learned Behind Bars
If you’ve been curious about learning a few prison-inspired recipes, you’re in luck!
Reality TV personality #JulieChrisley is launching a new cooking show roughly eight months after her release from prison.
During the Dec. 17 episode of the Chrisley Confessions podcast, her husband #ToddChrisley revealed that filming for the project is expected to begin in February. Julie, 52, hinted the series will include dishes she learned to make during her time behind bars, agreeing with Todd that she’ll “incorporate some of that into it.” As previously reported, the couple received a pardon from #PresidentDonaldTrump earlier this year after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud.
Julie also shared her vision for the show’s style, aiming for something viewers can easily follow at home. “I want it to be things that I actually cook, and I want it to be things that everybody else can cook,” she explained, adding that she doesn’t want to use “crazy ingredients that people have to go out here and search and find.” While this won’t be her first time on a cooking set, she previously hosted a 2019 web cooking series, the upcoming show marks her first major TV food project since her prison release.
