Kodak Black Arrested In Orange County On Dr*g Trafficking Charge
Things are not looking too good for #KodakBlack.
The rapper was arrested in Florida on Wednesday (May 6) on a charge of trafficking MDMA and booked into the #OrangeCounty Corrections Department. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, described the arrest as a “coordinated surrender” tied to a November 2025 incident in which police searched a vehicle that Kodak was not inside. Authorities allegedly found a bag containing a bottle of prescription cough syrup bearing Kodak’s fingerprint, though his lawyer argues the evidence does not support a trafficking charge and plans to challenge the case in court.
The 28-year-old artist, born Bill Kapri, has a well-documented legal history that includes prior charges such as armed robbery, weapons possession and s3xual a$$ault. He previously served time on a federal firearms case before receiving a commutation from #Trump in 2020. Following a separate coca!ne-related arrest in December 2023, Kodak spoke openly about his struggles with dr*g use and efforts to get clean.
