NFL Star Russell Wilson Is Officially Retiring From The Field After 14 Years

Russell Wilson is officially retiring.

The Super Bowl champion made the move official on Wednesday, just days after he inked a deal with CBS Sports as an analyst.

In his retirement announcement, the 37-year-old shared football highlights and reflected on his love for the game, shouting out his former coach, Pete Carroll. Wilson thanked him for taking a chance on him back in 2012, when the Seattle Seahawks drafted him in the third round.

Throughout his illustrious career, Wilson was named the Walter Payton Man of the Year, became a 10-time Pro Bowler, second-team All-Pro selection, and additionally, led the league in touchdowns in 2017.

Wilson has played for the Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, racking up nearly 47,000 yards and 353 touchdowns.
