Lil Yachty Thinks He’s Shadow Banned — But Wonders If People Just Aren’t Interested
Lil Yachty is questioning whether his social media accounts have been shadow banned — or if he may simply be facing a harsh reality about his engagement.
The rapper recently raised concerns about his online reach, suggesting his content may not be reaching as many people as it normally would. A “shadow ban” generally refers to a platform limiting the visibility of someone’s content without fully suspending their account or necessarily notifying them.
However, Yachty also appeared open to another possibility: maybe there isn’t a restriction at all and his posts simply aren’t performing the way he expected.
There’s currently no confirmation that Yachty has actually been shadow banned. A decline in views or engagement alone doesn’t prove an account has been restricted, as changes in algorithms and audience behavior can also impact reach.
What do y’all think — is Lil Yachty being shadow banned, or is social media just not showing him the same love?
