Stop & Stare :: Athletes Get Bucket Naked for ESPN’s Body Issue
Ladies (and gents…no judgement, here), it’s that time of year. ESPN has blessed us visually with their fourth annual celebration of the athletic form. Highlighting the physiques of 27 athletes, peep two of our favorite below.
NBA Baller Tyson Chandler, on why he decided to do the issue:
I think it gives the average person a good look at athletes’ bodies and why we are able to do the things we do. I think a lot of people are curious about it. I wanted to allow people to look at my body and see why I’m able to do the things I do on the court. Also, it’s a very artistic shoot, and seeing that in past issues made me want to do it.
WNBA Baller Candace Parker (below), on how giving birth has changed her body:
I understand how important it is to stay strong and fit. I feel more thankful after going through the drastic change of pregnancy and being able to get my body back to how it was before. It’s definitely been a process, but I think I’m stronger now. I think my body is better than it was before.
