[Video] Cleveland Woman That Caught Uppercut On Bus, Speaks Out
By now, you've all watched (on instant replay) the unfortunate Cleveland bus incident. In short, a bus driver and a young woman get into an altercation. Like a real-life, altercation. Here's a clip:

Compliments of Vibe Vixen, we'v learned moe about the young lady in the video. Her name is Shidea Lane (25) and the bus driver (59) name is Artis Hughes. According to Shidea, the argument began after the bus driver didn't believe she had enough bus fare to ride. She explained:
“[The bus driver] didn’t think I had any money to get on the bus and I was looking for it, trying to tell him that I have money to get on the bus. From there, it just escalated.”
Outside of being embarassed, she also explained how it felt being hit:
“It felt like I was on Mortal Kombat. It just hurted [sic]. It was almost like a ‘Finish him!’ type of hit.”
What's more? She plans to take Artis to court. Here's footage of her recent interview:

Regardless of the outcome, people have to learn to have dignity and respect themselves. The worst part of the video wasn’t the fighting. It was the way she spoke. All of that could have been avoided. People are always so defensive, if it was about fare and she had it, she could have just proved her point by producing the $$ and paying the fare. Instead she acted like a fool. Please people, please know that you always win and overcome disrespect with respect. It makes the other person look follish. When you respond with disrespect then you automatically lose. Thank you.
She has every right to take him to court BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT she was wrong for how she talked to him. This generation has no respect for elders (sadly im apart of). This man is about to be 60 years old and she is talking to him like he is her own age. No respect. She may win in court but definitely not in approval.
She can take him to court but he should also take her to court and so should the bus system. She endangered lives on that bus when she spat on him and hit him while the bus was in motion. So she should have about 10 counts of endanderment. Spitting on someone is an assault and yes you go to court for it. He shouldnt have hit her the way he did but just thrown her off the bus like he did AFTER the hit. When she came back on the bus is when he was defending himself and choked her out. Domestic violence is a 2 way street, if he gets locked up then so should she..PERIOD….I dont think he should lose his job over it either, suspended w/o pay yes but not lose his job. S/n She didnt have money for the fare and thats why she was asking ppl on the bus for change.

So now, we have a 59 year old near retirement who will lose his job/benefits over this. This girl is probably going to press charges and she will win.
What really disgusts me is how many ppl say she DESERVED to get hit like that. First off I aint seen a DUDE uppercut another dude except in boxing so WTF…but when ppl start saying that things like a woman deserved to be hit I'm like oh is there criterion now? I mean basically fuck that old ass nigga.

i just can't believe how hard he hit her.. and by no means do I think she was "right".. she definitely acted like a loud, ghetto, fool.. and she supposedly hit him and spit.. he should have stopped the bus and threw her off and/or called the transit cops on her..

They were both wrong about arguing and yelling. She had plenty of time to pay her money and sit her butt in a seat. She kept provoking the situation. Words are just words, but when she hit him, she basically signed the contract to get knocked the f*ck out.

I dont believe in men hitting women……. but some women ask for it with their actions. He was right by saying, "you act like a man, you get treated like a man". She should have never put her hands on him and he should press charges. However, he did not have to Tekken or choke her out. Both were wrong in this situation.
