Solange Knowles’ Son Wants To Be A Rapper + Check Her Entertainment Weekly Cover
Solange Knowles is covering the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, dishing on a few things about her 26-year-old quirky personality. The ‘True’ singer talks about her sons musical aspirations, plus what southern state she plans to move to. During her interview, she shares that her 8-year-old son, Juelz, wants to be a rapper. And while she’s frightened by him being in the business, she openly shares one of his rhymes that she’s saved:
“You don’t know how to rap/You’re so fat, like a rat in a mousetrap/You got a pen?/No? I didn’t think so/I’ll get you one if you know how to flow, yo/You got a pocket? I didn’t think so/Because you’re like an armadillo in the road, bro/Have you seen the movie hunger games?” And then it stops there.
Although she currently lives in Brooklyn, the Houston native has plans of returning down south.
“I’m such a Southern girl. I plan on moving back in the next year or two, when it makes sense for Julez schoolwise. I think either Austin or New Orleans. Somewhere warm, for sure.”
We vote—NOLA! Meanwhile, the Knowles-Carter clan is still in Los Angeles, staying a few days after the GRAMMYs. Photogs caught Jay-Z, Beyonce and Solange in Venice, dining at Gjelina Restaurant.
