Today, Ja Rule Begins Prison Stint
Today, 35-year-old rapper Ja Rule (real name Jeffrey Atkins) will begin his two-year prison sentence. Rule pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in connection with an incident that took place July 2007. Police found a loaded semi-automatic .40-caliber Taurus handgun in the backseat of his Maybach. He will serve his sentence at an Upstate New York correctional facility.
