Nicki Minaj Cast As Judge On “American Idol” + Is Mariah Carey Pissed?

According to unconfirmed reports, American Idol has found their third judge. Following the departure of Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj (real name Oneka Maraj) will join the likes of Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson as an Idol judge. We hear that if Nicki does join Idol, Mariah may take some issue. TMZ reports:
Sources connected with “Idol” tell TMZ … Mariah was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judge’s panel. Choosing Nicki would not only crush that expectation, it would add insult to injury because Nicki (29) is a lot younger than Mariah (42).
Nicki is no stranger to the Idol stage, as she performed on the show earlier this year. At one point, other rumored candidates for the position were P. Diddy and Pharrell Williams. Now we are told Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Enrique Iglesias are being considered.

Nicki recently disappointed her Barbz and Kens in the UK when she had to cancel shows due to strained vocal chords, and then lashed out on unsympathetic fans on Twitter. Let’s hope she saves some of that heat for the contestants of season 12 of American Idol. Do you agree with Nicki being cast as a judge? And w ho is a better fit, Mariah or Nicki? P.S. Can’t you just hear Nicki saying “absolutely dreadful” in her best Simon Cowell voice?
