Djimon Hounsou’s Camp Says He & Kimora Lee Simmons Were NEVER Married

Wait, did Kimora Lee Simmons pull a Brandy on us? This week, we reported unfortunate Cupid news, confirming that after five years, Kimora and her sexy husband, Djimon Hounso were heading to divorce.

But guess what? We were mislead. How so?
On Thanksgiving eve, Kimora confirmed their split on twitter writing…

There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon+I have been separated for some time. We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends+family. We all have much to be thankful for.#HappyThanksgiving

But what’s really odd is that when the split was confirmed with People, Djimon’s rep noted that the two were never married. His rep stated:

“Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons have officially separated after 5½ years. Though never married, they have one child together, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, who is 3½ years old.”

If you’ll recall, when the two met and became allegedly engaged (back in 2008), there were rumblings that they weren’t really married, but had some type of spiritual ceremony. We never saw wedding photos, but assumed (like most of you) that they were married, since they referred to each other as husband and wife. Anywho, we got it wrong. Nonetheless, we wish them the best of luck. P.S. Were we the only ones that thought these two were MARRIED? And if so, do you feel mislead or could care less?
