Nas & Baby Mama Carmen Bryan, Beef Over College Tuition & Back Child Support

Despite the fact that Nas’ (real name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones) daughter, Destiny is almost 20 years old, the 40-year-old rapper can’t seem to stay clear of baby mama drama. According to TMZ, Destiny’s mom Carmen, claims that the Illmatic rapper owes $11k in back child support.

She has now filed legal documents in which she claims Nas is a “repeat criminal non-supporter” and is refusing to pay for his daughter’s college tuition. She is also filing for contempt against him, which could lead to jail time if a judge agrees.

This isn’t Nas and Carmen’s first public feud. In the past, she has shared some not-so-nice things about him in her 2006 autobiography, It’s No Secret. The popular book detailed her relationship with Nas and the part she played in in the Jay-Z and Nas beef. In 2012, Carmen also publicly voiced her concern about not having a relationship with their daughter.

Nas also has a son with singer turned cooking host, Kelis (real name Kelis Rogers).

The two married in 2005, resulting in a 4-year-old son named Knight . In January 2011, Nas and Kelis duked it out in court over child support issues. Originally set at $55,000 a month, Nas’ payments were cut in half, with the rapper being ordered to pay $5,000 in child support and $20,000 in spousal support per month.

Anywho, we’re hoping Nas and Carmen can patch things up and continue to politely co-parent.
