Less than 24 hours after an investigation began by Miami police for alleged sexual misconduct, Colin Kaepernick denied the allegations on Twitter. The 26-year-old San Francisco 49ers quarterback wrote:

The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I’ve seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened. I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up. I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced.

On Thursday, news hit that a woman told police that on April 3 that she passed out in Apt. 4710 in the Viceroy Hotel and Residences around midnight two days earlier. When officers arrived, they grew concerned about the woman’s frame of mind and called Fire Rescue, which transported her to the hospital.

Reportedly, the woman, whose name has yet to be released, woke up the next morning with no idea how she got there, according to Walter Sarrafiore, of the Miami Police Department’s Special Victims Unit, which investigates sexual battery and other serious crimes.

Also listed on the police incident report are Kaepernick’s teammate Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette.

In her interview with officers, she said she went to visit Lockette at his apartment around 9 p.m. on April 1 and found Kaepernick and Patton there. She told police she had a sexual relationship with Kaepernick in the past. No charges have yet been filed. According to TMZ, although Colin is listed as a suspect police have not concluded he committed any crime.  The investigation is ongoing.
