(EXCLUSIVE) RHOA’s Apollo Nida On the Hook For $1.9 Million, Upon Release From Prison
The Feds stated it has come to their attention that True Entertainment – the producers behind RHOA – currently had money, funds of property in their possession for Nida, who owes a total of $1.9 million in restitution to various entities he defrauded money from.
The $1.9 million restitution is a result from owing $828k to JP Morgan Chase, $127k to the IRS, $24k to Delta Airlines, $15k to the State of California and various other entities.
On February 24th, True Entertainment filed docs responding to the feds explaining they don’t owe Nida for his appearance on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Then in March, the federal government filed new docs in Nida’s case demanding Bravo Media – a division of NBA Universal – hand over all money that they have for him for his role on the hit show.
The Feds believed that True Entertainment wasn’t the company writing Apollo’s checks for the reality show and seemed to believe Bravo was handing out the paychecks for his time on their show. However, Bravo responded to the subpoena claiming Apollo wasn’t owed and they have no money to turn over to the government – who are attempting to collect on the $1.9 million the reality star owes to the victims of his scheme.
The Feds then explained to the court they are terminating the subpoena to Bravo and it appears they have given up on their hunt for any money owed to Nida for his time on the reality show — meaning he will owe the full 1.9 million upon his release from prison. See exclusive court docs.
