Update: Jeezy Wants Judge To Order ‘Parental Fitness’ Exam For Him & Jeannie Mai As Divorce Battle Heats Up

Update: (June 11, 2024): The divorce battle between Jeannie Mai and Jeezy continues.

The latest reports on the ex-couple claim that the “Put On” rapper wants the judge to order a “parental fitness exam” for him and Jeannie Mai. He’s also asking for “joint physical custody” of their two-year-old daughter. His requests don’t end there, Jeezy reportedly wants the court to enter his proposed “temporary parenting plan order” and for the judge to “award temporary child support pursuant to statutory guidelines.”

Jeezy’s recent demands follow his ex — Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin — and the nanny he shares with Jeannie Mai defending him against his estranged wife’s abuse allegations.

Original Story: (June 10, 2024): TV personality Jeannie Mai is standing by her allegations against her estranged husband.

Her soon-to-be-ex hubby, rapper Jeezy, has enlisted the support of his ex-fiancée and his nanny to defend him against abuse allegations made by Jeannie Mai amid their contentious divorce and custody battle.

Mahlet “Mahi” Gebremedhin, who shares a 10-year-old daughter, Amra Nor Jenkins, with Jeezy, filed a sworn affidavit testifying to the rapper’s peaceful nature and devoted parenting.

She stated,

“I’ve witnessed Jay be a devoted, caring, and present Father to our daughter and his oldest child [Jadarius Jenkins, 28].”

Mahi, 37, elaborated,

“For almost four years, Jay’s eldest child lived with us, and I was able to see their relationship grow every day. At no point was Jay ever physically, mentally or emotionally abusive to his children or me.”

However, it’s worth noting that in 2020, Mahi sued Jeezy, alleging that he failed to pay the court-ordered $10,000 per month in child support, as well as their child’s medical expenses and private school tuition.

Jeezy, 46, also had his and Jeannie Mai’s nanny, Minhee Hoffler, submit an affidavit.

Hoffler described Jeezy as an extremely “loving” father to Amra Jenkins and his younger daughter, Monaco Jenkins, 2, whom he shares with Jeannie.

She elaborated,

“As a caretaker, I believe Mr. Jenkins gives his daughters the support they need as they grow into young women in the future … Mr. Jenkins is a hardworking person, but even a more hardworking dad.”

In response, Jeannie Mai’s legal team said,

“It seems Mr. Jenkins is trying to distort the truth once more by employing people to file false statements and claims against Ms. Mai, attempting to contradict real-time evidence and factual events. We are eager to present all the evidence in court.”

These new filings follow Jeannie Mai, 45, accusing Jeezy of physical abuse in an April court filing, where she claimed he choked her from behind and pushed her down the steps at a hotel on April 14, 2022. She also alleged that security intervened and offered her protection after she repeatedly stated she “felt unsafe.”

theJasmineBRAND exclusively reported Jeezy’s response, as he vehemently denied these accusations, describing them as “complete lies.”

Jeezy filed for divorce from Mai in September 2023 after two years of marriage and is now attempting to secure joint custody of their daughter, Monaco Jenkins.
