Flo Rida Slapped With Lawsuit via Facebook?

Australian music festival promoter Brett Lean has just served rapper Flo Rida, real name Tramar Dillard, with a lawsuit via Facebook! Lean claims that the rapper was paid $55,000 but never showed up to perform at Australia’s “Fat as Butter Festival” last October. Lean told the Sydney Morning Herald:

“We tried to serve him physically on several occasions when he was out here but he got wise to it pretty quickly. We couldn’t get near him in the end because he was constantly surrounded by an entourage and security so we looked into ways of serving him via Facebook because he’s very active on social media… We’ve painted him into a corner. Now we’re confident the matter is coming to a close. All we’ve ever wanted is an explanation and our money back and an apology.””

The 32-year old rapper will not receive any funds from Australia being as though the District Court of the country has put a freeze on his assets until the matter is resolved. Flo now has 28 days to appeal the claim. If he doesn’t, a judgment will be made on his behalf. No word on if Flo Rida has any knowledge of the lawsuit yet, but we’ll see what happens when he figures it out.
