Chad's Reality Girlfriend, Rubi, Responds to Evelyn Rumors

Here’s the quick and dirty. Rumors have been swirling during Chad’s reality show, that he’s been dating Evelyn of Basketball Wives. Back story here. This has been confirmed by subliminal tweets between both Chad and Evelyn, Tiphani spilling the beans last week confirming this (click here). We also have a friend at the production company that’s semi-confirmed, as much as she legally can, that Evelyn is who Chad really seems to be dating.

The good folks over at Reality Tea, flat-out asked Rubi about Evelyn. Here’s what she had to say?

What do you make of the rumor that he’s dating Basketball Wives‘ Evelyn? Even while we were on the show a lot of girls were saying he was with her. There have always been rumors. It wasn’t a huge shock to me when I heard that it was out there in the media. But just like with anybody, when you hear a rumor you just ask like, “Hey what’s going on?” I asked him about it. He said Evelyn’s a friend of his, they didn’t have anything and they’re friends. And that’s all. If someone tells you something, you just have to believe them. I’m not gonna sit there and ask him every two seconds. I asked him once and he answered it and that’s enough.

Would you go as far as to call it love? I think love is a super strong word. Do we have the material and the hard work to make it to love? Yes. I think we definitely have the material to get there. But should we say love love love as of right now? I don’t know. It’s a love. Like I luv him, like L-U-V. He probably feels the same way about me. But we definitely have the potential to be able to get there.

(…Frankly, we can perceive her reaction one of two ways. Either she’s flat-out naive or mature. Naive in thinking that this show and reality relationship actually meant something and that Chad can actually be faithful to her based off of what we perceive of him in the public. Rubi can also be perceived as being mature for not being involved in messy back-and-forth via twitter, etc. Hell, sometimes a “man and a woman have an understanding that only they can understand.” Been there. Done that….good luck to all 3 of ’em…)
