Rev. Al Sharpton Renews Mariah Carey & Nick’s Vows + Blesses #Dembabies
Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had #dembabies over the weekend and had the good reverend doctor, Rev. Al Sharpton, pray for their newborns and renew their vows. The couple welcomed a baby girl (5lbs, 3 ounces, 18 inches) and boy (5lbs, 6 ounces, 19 inches) into the universe, Saturday, April 30. #Dembabies, which the parents affectionately call them on Twitter, were born at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles.
Sharpton shared via Twitter: “I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3 rd anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies. I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks GREAT, and the babies are beautiful. I am so moved by the sincere spiritual commitment of Mariah and Nick. They have not let success separate them from GOD. I am so proud.” In non-baby-blessing news, Sharpton also commented via Twitter on the death of Osama: “Watching President Obama announcing the killing of Bin Laden ,I think about the victims of 9/11, one youth who lost his mom lived with us.”
