Niecy Nash & Hubby Venture Into Reality TV

On May 28th of 2011, actress/comedienne, Niecy Nash, was married to her husband, Jay Tucker. A TV wedding special of their ceremony aired in June, on TLC, attracting about 5 million viewers.

That show has led to a new reality series that TLC has created for Nash and her new family. TLC has given her an 8-episode reality show, that will feature her extended family, which includes her 3 children (2 daughters and 1 son) from a previous marriage, her mother, and her husband’s son from a previous marriage. Niecy said,
“There’s a lot of love in our house, but also a lot of mayhem and foolishness – all the kids are acting crazy, I’m busier than ever, and Jay’s never raised girls before. We hope our fans welcome us into their homes… we need the room!”
TLC’s GM, Amy Winter, added,
“This series will reveal the journey of bringing a blended family together, and Niecy brings her heartfelt and often hysterical views of being a hard-working mom, wife and daughter. Our audience shared in her beautiful and boisterous wedding, and will now get to see what’s happening after the honeymoon.”

Nash has also been cast for a role in an upcoming TV show on TV Land. Nash will play wife to Cedric the Entertainer, in a comedic spin-off of Hot in Cleveland.
