Jay-Z Stars In Rocawear’s First Commercial, “Marcy to Barclays”

Since Jay-Z and Damon Dash created the Rocawear clothing line in 1999, they have been able to gross (reportedly) about $700 million from it annually, without promotion from TV commercials. This week, Rocawear’s camp released the company’s first ever TV ad, titled “Marcy to Barclays.”

In the commercial, Jay speaks about his transition from the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn, to being a rap superstar and legend. He also talks about the growth of Rocawear. The ad ends with Jay on stage at the Barclay’s Center, which is where his series of concerts, starting this September, will take place. Check it out.
