Beyonce’s Pepsi Deal Rumored to Be Worth $50 Million
Cha-ching! Rumor has it that Beyoncé’s rebranded, multi-faceted deal with Pepsi is estimated at $50 million. Bey, who’s been with the soft drink since 2002, is debuting her new commercial during the Super Bowl, Feb. 3, 2013. What’s more is that Bey’s image will appear on limited-edition cans starting in March. The New York Times also reports that Peps will alsosponsor a variety of unspecified creative projects for Beyonce + promote her upcoming fifth studio album. In a statement, Beyonce explains:
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
So what’s the breakdown of the $50 million? Reportedly, the bulk will cover media placements and promotions around the world, and the remainder split roughly equally between Beyoncé’s fee and Pepsi’s creative content development fund.
