Hot off the heels off controversy with Keyshia Cole, performing at the Superbowl and her recent admission of battling depression, Destiny’s Child member and Fela! Broadway star Michelle Williams has landed a new reality show titled ‘My Sisters Keeper.’ The series will follow Michelle and her sisters and the pressures of releasing a solo album on gospel powerhouse label, eOne/Light Records. The show will also highlight the singer as she juggles faith, family, and other ventures. No clear indication on what network the show will appear on, but it appears that she’ll have some creative control. Reportedly, she will executive produce the show, with the same the same team behind WeTV’s Mary, Mary and AMC’s Hell On Wheels starring rapper Common. Michelle confirmed her new reality TV gig:

I am very thrilled about this opportunity, to extend into television with the eOne family as well, with this series.Working together on my new gospel album and television series, I am excited to share with everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the inspiration and journey of recording for the album, performing, fun family times and other unforgettable experiences out together with my dear sisters.”

Her previous gospel albums include  2002’s award winning ‘Heart To Yours’ and 2004’s ‘Do You Know.’ Michelle will be releasing her third album in Summer 2013, with the first single to be released soon. Congrats to her! What do you think about a reality show starring Michelle? Excited or you’ll pass?

And in other Michelle news, she is the new celebrity spokesperson for the National Voices for Equality Education & Enlightenment (NVEEE). Michelle involved her motivation in lending her celebrity for this cause:

I was bullied in school because of my appearance. I was afraid to walk home from school out of fear for my life. I was ashamed of who I was. No one should have to tolerate being bullied.
