Could we have a talk show battle brewing? Earlier this year, Magic Johnson’s Aspire TV announced the ‘Exhale’ Talk Show, hosted by five African -American women. Angela Burt-Murray, Issa Rae, Malinda Williams, Rene Syler and Erin Jackson are set to hit the airwaves in June. Modeled after ABC’s, ‘The View,’ ‘Exhale’ will focus on family, relationships, career, money and faith, aimed at enlightenment and enrichment. But they aren’t the only women of color that we will see throwing their hat in the talk show panel.
Last week, ‘The Real’ was announced with hosts Tamera Mowry-Housely, Tamar Braxton, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai and Lonnie Love will airing this summer on Fox stations. ‘The Real’ will be modeled after ‘The View’ and CBS’, ‘The Talk’ with an entirely ethnic panel of hosts. The summer talk show market will also include Kris Jenner’s show ‘Kris, airing in July.
