[VIDEO] Dope or Disastrous? Trina Pays Homage to Nicki Minaj @ BMI + Toni Braxton Laughs Off Wardrobe Malfunction

Thursday night, Trina paid homage to Nicki Minaj, during the BMI Hip Hop Awards event. The Miami bred rapper performed Minaj’s ‘Moment for Life’. Check out her performance.

And in other news, last week we reported that Toni Braxton had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction during a pit stop in New Jersey. As a backstory, the sultry singer was rockin’ the crowd, literally, when the bottom of her dress slipped, exposing her bare booty. Initially, the ‘Un-break My Heart’ singer was clueless as to the crowd’s reaction every time she turned around, but after bringing a few men on stage, she somehow got the clue…or felt the breeze. One nice fella gave her his suit jacket, to cover-up, while one of her back-up singers attempted to fix the dress. Her stylist/fashion designer Reco Chapple saved the day, running on stage to completely take the dress off. Fast forward to the present day and Toni has commented to the on stage mishap. In an interview with Yahoo!’s omg blog she explained:

I was dancing doing the one-two and I kind of thought, ‘Are my [breasts] exposed? I am feeling air’. The whole dress just fell apart on stage! I had a bodysuit on but it was very skimpy. I can’t deny I was uncomfortable, but I made it work and the audience kind of laughed and it turned into a burlesque show. I should have charged more for the tickets. Who knew? I just thought how lucky I was that the whole thing didn’t come apart! We laughed about it and we made it work, but that’s all you can do. Breathe through it all.

It’s cool that she has a sense of humor about it, right?
