[WATCH] Gospel Sisters ‘Mary Mary’ Address Their Own Gossip on Wendy Williams
watched people live in shame and embarrassment and I was like I’m going to do shame for a little while and embarrassment for a little while then I’m going to get over it but life goes on. So that’s what I chose to do.
In their interview with Ebony magazine, Tina admits to finding out about her husbands infidelity with her best friend.
Once I became aware [of the affair], I initially wanted to kill my husband. I was considering adjusting the will, the living trust and all that kind of stuff. I did physically try to stab him. Several times … I never got to the point of physical harm, not really, but my words … My words hurt.
She further revealed in an open letter to her fans that she would go on a “30 day fast for complete deliverance & restoration” and ultimately they are working it out.
Wendy Williams: You’re still married; you’ve worked it out?
Tina: We’re working through it.
Wendy Williams: Are you living separately at this time?
Tina: We’ve gone through all of those stages. I just want to say, were working through it and you should really watch this season because life happened. If I had known what this season was going to consist of before I started, I would have opted out.
Wendy Williams: That means its going to be juicy for us.
Tina: Unfortunately we are executive producers on our show, so we watch all our edits and we have to clear a lot of things and it was hard for me to do it.
Erica: She’s okay with the truth.
Wendy Williams: How old are your kids?
Tina: My love daughter, my daughter through marriage is 19. By birth I have 10, 6, 4, and 1.
Wendy Williams: Erica is dealing with a lot because the critics are saying she’s too sexy. The church is saying that you’re too sexy because you have hips and boobs?
Erica: Hips and boobs, I was in the illuminati because of my hands, their praying hands to me. I think the first comment someone was like, ‘come on you’re doing too much’, and I’m like, ‘it’s a turtle neck.’ I have three children, high blood pressure, I work out, I want to make sure that I’m healthy. The curves that god gave me seem to show when I have clothes on.
Erica: I try to be mindful because I never try to sell my sexy, but I’m comfortable with it. I think more Christians should understand its not a bad thing, we should take ownership of who we are and be okay. I’m okay with a young girl not just singing r&b diva and vixen looking sexy. If they see a gospel artist, but it’s tasteful, I’m happily married with children, then its okay.
Wendy Williams: How old are your kids?
Erica: They are 9, 3, and 2.
Wendy Williams: Any more music together, is there more Mary, Mary?
There’s definitely more Mary, Mary.
