[INTERVIEW] Nicci Gilbert Talks R&B Divas Atlanta Reunion, Angie Stone’s Departure & Defends Faith Evans
that’s an awesome honor. I think that more people should celebrate that and the bottom line was that it was about The Whitney Houston Academy and what we were doing in terms of exposure for those kids. So at the end of the day, everybody who knows Faith knows that she doesn’t have a mean, hateful, disrespectful bone in her body and quite honestly if it had not been for Faith Evans, this show would not have gotten picked up.
How’s that for real for you?! So I think that people should be grateful and I think that even if there was an issue that they should’ve picked up the phone and called her to say ‘Hey Faith, wassup with that?’ like KeKe did as opposed to using a public platform in front of millions of people to make her look shady or disrespectful. I’m going to go on the record and say this, if every time you look up, the tours are falling apart or producer situations ain’t working or that ain’t working then you need to check your team and find out who it is that’s giving you advice and advising you because everybody else in this business knows that that’s how it goes.
