Chris Lighty’s Brother Launches Petition to Reopen Controversial Suicide Case
A petition has been launched by the brother of Darrell ‘Chris’ Lighty. David Lighty has launched a petition to re-open the investigation of the talent manager’s death. As previously reported, in 2012 the 44-year-old Violater co-founder was found outside of his New York home, with a pistol next to his body.
Chris and his wife, Veronica Lighty, had been in an argument earlier in the day. There was also speculation that he had financial trouble.
It was later ruled a suicide, but David and some of Chris’ friends and family don’t believe that he took his own life. Later, rapper 50 Cent hired a private investigator.
The investigator concluded that there was no “possibility that Chris Lighty would commit suicide over money” or because of his wife.
