[INTERVIEW] Chante Moore Talks Fallout With Lil Mo & Chrisette Michele, Bringing Bodyguard to Reunion
custody. I wanted my son to be with his father. He didn’t choose his daddy, I chose his daddy. So, I wanted us to split custody and that’s what ended up happening.
theJasmineBRAND.com: What other projects are you working on?
Chante Moore: I’m going to do a one woman show of the book. It is going to be amazing. That is definitely going to be my journey on “R&B Divas” is to show you the work that goes into putting the show up. There are different characters that I feel like are a part of me.
theJasmineBRAND.com: What’s the craziest rumor that you ever heard about yourself?
Chante Moore: That I was a lesbian. I think people were just being mean, but people don’t know me very well if you think that about me.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Most annoying interview question.
Chante Moore: I would say, the first thing that comes to mind, is asking me is Kenny gay. And the second thing is, why people break-up….That’s so personal…Some stuff is just not for public consumption.
theJasmineBRAND.com: Is there anything that you’d like to clear up?
Chante Moore: My manager is a very good manager, first of all. And she’s one of my longest and dearest friends….She’s been in this industry for much longer probably all of us young ladies put together…..She’s respected by everyone that I know, that’s in the industry that knows her…And I didn’t like the way they portrayed her in that moment on the show when they said that she was unprofessional…And the other thing I wanted to say is, I asked them to be on this record not because I needed to use any of their names — we’re on a show, together. Nobody’s name is ranked above or below anybody’s. I don’t need to jump on Chrisette’s back; Lil Mo’s back — to make a song. I can put a song out anytime…And I have. Every song I put out — I wrote.
