(EXCLUSIVE) Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony Settle $25 Million Lawsuit Accusing Them of Stealing Reality Show
Jacobs claimed that both J.Lo and Marc’s companies expressed interest in the idea but then ceased talking to him. He said he then noticed they launched their reality show “Q’Viva! The Chosen” in 2012, that was exactly the same as his pitch to them.
He sued J.Lo and Marc for $25 million dollars for allegedly stealing his idea.
Marc Anthony responded, stating that the two shows were in no way similar to each other. He also argued that a talent show reality show is not something that can be copyrighted. He demanded the lawsuit be dismissed.
However, despite his denial that the show was a rip off of Jacobs docs were filed in the case which state all parties had reached a financial settlement with in the case. It states that the agreement will be consummated within 30 days and the terms of the deal will remain under seal — which means Jacobs may have received a financial settlement.
