J.Lo Gets Emotional, Talks Low Self Esteem & Divorce to Marc Anthony [VIDEO]
While all things seem to be coming out on top for People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman in the world, Jennifer Lopez, in an interview with Meredith Vieira, she brings down her guard and fills the public in some of the dark moments of her personal life. J.Lo goes into further detail in her new book, but during her Meredith appearance she sheds more light, speaking vaguely about what caused her and Marc’s separation, how her family dealt with the split, how she handled having low self-esteem and how she stayed strong for her children.
Watch the clips of the interview and read a few excerpts below.
Meredith Vieira: In the book you talk about that moment you’re on tour and you’re on the plane, your little boy, Max, crawls into your lap and says to you “Will you always be my mommy?”. This was after the divorce.
Jennifer Lopez: I think he was confused. You know, we were traveling the world, they were young, and their dad wasn’t with them now. It was just like what is this? What’s going to happen?
Meredith Vieira: So what do you say in a situation like that?
Jennifer Lopez: I said I can’t answer every question you ever have but I can tell you that mommy and Max will always be together.
Meredith Vieira: Looking back Jen, what did go wrong?
