(INTERVIEW) Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’s Amanda Secor Talks: Ending Relationship With Fizz, Jonathan Dowling Rumors & Being Unfairly Portrayed

Amanda Secor: We’re not dating, we’re friends. We’re friends for right now but we’re not dating at the moment.

theJasmineBRAND.com: Overall were you pleased with how you were portrayed during the show?

Amanda Secor: No, not at all. Everyone has their views and their opinions but the way they portray me on the show is definitely not how I am. They make me seem like I’m very cold and I’m not into Dru. Like I’m this liar and I’m a cheater and that’s not how I am. That was one incident I was in and that happened because of the circumstances I was in. They try to make me out like I’m this horrible person. My intentions with Moniece was not a bad one either. I actually went into the situation wanting to be close to her and making things better with her, Cameron and Dru. Kind of have a open communication between all of us but she was just very angry and mad at the world.

theJasmineBRAND.com: If the opportunity presented itself again would you return to the show?

Amanda Secor: I think I would because I would want people to see that there is a different side of me and not this person they made me out to be. I have a lot of other things going on besides this drama that Moniece tried to create with me and her and besides this cheating thing with Dru. I want you to see I have other things going on, I’m in school, I have a clothing line and jewelry line. There’s more sides to me than just what you see on the show.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What do you have going on, aside from the show?

Amanda Secor: I have a clothing line called ATK & Me and also have a jewelry line. We have custom name plates that are plated in 18K gold.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What is your biggest fear?

Amanda Secor: My biggest fear is probably not living up to my families expectations. They have such high expectations of me and I want to make them proud.

theJasmineBRAND.com: Has your family watched the show?

Amanda Secor:  They did in the beginning but then they stopped after the whole Moniece incident. They like went crazy and stopped watching it.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What have you learned about love?

Amanda Secor:  I learned that it takes a lot of work and people make mistakes but when you do find the one you love you need to work at it. Not everyone is perfect but you need to find who’s perfect for you and outweigh the good with the bad.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What’s the craziest rumor you heard about yourself?

Amanda Secor: I don’t know, I mean I heard crazy things. Me and Dru relationship is fake and we just do it for TV. I think that might be the craziest thing, that me and him were just together because of the show.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What’s your biggest vice?

Amanda Secor: Oh my God, shopping. I have a major, major shopping addiction.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What do you enjoy most about being on reality TV?

Amanda Secor: I don’t know, I think it’s a good platform to get yourself out there. It’s hard to deal with people’s opinions. Everyone always wants to give you advice about what you should be doing and what you shouldn’t be doing and no one really knows the story. I don’t know, I haven’t really found too many good things about it yet.

theJasmineBRAND.com: When’s the last time you cried?

Amanda Secor: Oh my God, I cry all the time. I’m so emotional these days. Probably like last week I cried.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What was it about?

Amanda Secor: I think I was just overwhelmed with everything that was all on Instagram. I don’t think they realize how mean they really are, for no reason.

theJasmineBRAND.com: What’s the biggest misconception about who you are?

Amanda Secor: That I’m just like a cheater and that’s not the case. It was just a really weird situation that I was put in and I didn’t know how to handle it. People think that this is how I am and I’m not like that.

theJasmineBRAND.com: Looking back at the situation do you wish you did anything differently?

Amanda Secor:  100% I wish I would have done it differently. I wish I hadn’t jumped into a relationship so fast and I wish I hadn’t hurt Dru the way that I did. Yeah, I would do a million and one things differently.
