(EXCLUSIVE) Drake & Lil Wayne’s Financial Records Exposed in Royalties Legal Battle
The records pertain to months back in 2011. According to the records, Andre 3000 was paid a total of $100k to do a guest spot on the song “The Real Her” featured on Drake’s second album “Take Care”. Music producer T-Minus was wired the amount of $90k for his work on three songs for the album in the same time period.
Drake recorded 5 days in the studio, at a cost of $2k a day which Aspire sent payment in the amount of $20k to cover the recording time. Reportedly, the company was also reimbursed.
Further, Aspire was paid back a total of $164,200.53 for expenses they paid in regards to Drake’s album. The rapper also sent them a management fee advance of $167k for their work.
Aspire also dropped nearly $50k on airfare during the month of December.
An interesting line item is that Aspire paid a total of $32,438 on a Christmas present for Lil Wayne’s mom.
They also paid $12,426 for Lil Wayne to stay at the Hotel Amrath Amsterdam when he was performing in the city. The management company also loaned Wayne $20k to cover personal expenses along with $1,218 the rapper spent at Best Buy.
