Former Model Beverly Johnson Says She Was Drugged By Bill Cosby
Beverly Johnson is sharing her very vivid personal experiences with Bill Cosby. Johnson, who was the first African-American to cover of American Vogue in 1974, wrote a first person account for Vanity Fair, recalling her encounter with the now 77-year-old comedian, in the mid-80’s during an audition for The Cosby Show. To date, Johnson is the 20th woman to come forward with accusations against Cosby. Like the other women, Johnson says Cosby offered to help her with career. In the magazine she details after meeting with Cosby at his home and sharing a cup of cappuccino things took a turn explaining:
My head became woozy, my speech became slurred, and the room began to spin nonstop. Cosby motioned for me to come over to him as though we were really about to act out the scene. He put his hands around my waist, and I managed to put my hand on his shoulder in order to steady myself.
As I felt my body go completely limp, my brain switched into automatic-survival mode. That meant making sure Cosby understood that I knew exactly what was happening at that very moment.
“You are a motherf-cker aren’t you?”
