(EXCLUSIVE) Basketball Wives Star Tasha Marbury – $2.5 Million Legal Battle Thrown Out of Court
The order stated that Marbury admitted that she handed over the pieces to the jeweler willfully and that she never even got a written agreement with him for a return date. The judge says that she ceased to personally supervise her items once she handed over the property.
Further, Marbury failed to follow the provision in her insurance policy to have $2.4 mill in jewelry deposited in a bank safety box when she wasn’t wearing the items. The judge dismissed the lawsuit and awarded Marbury nothing of the $2.5 million she demanded.
Months later, she headed back to court disagreeing with the judge’s decision, arguing that he did not read the policy correctly and claimed she should have been insured due to how the jewelry went missing. She demanded the court review the documents and reverse their decision.
On January 13th, the New York judge came back and shot down Marbury for a second time. He states that the policy is very simple and due to her voluntarily handing over the jewels to jeweler she DOESN’T have a case. He explains that she has presented no evidence to prove her case and has failed to make any point for him to change his original decision. He once again dismissed the lawsuit against the insurance company and awarded her nothing. See the court docs.
