(EXCLUSIVE) Damon Dash Accuses Lee Daniels of Deceiving Court In $25 Million Battle
Then on November 12th, Daniels filed his response blasting Dash’s lawsuit. He explained that it’s interesting the rap mogul never once mentions in his lawsuit which contract Daniels breached. The director says the deal they made for “The Woodsman” specifically mentioned the risks of investing in a motion picture and many factors could lead a film to not bring in a profit off the budget.
Daniels also notes Dash is extremely vague in his complaint and says he has no idea what agreements he is speaking of.
The director demanded the entire lawsuit be thrown out.
Then on January 12th, Dash fired back at Daniels’ response claiming the director is simply trying to deceive the court.
Dash reportedly explains that his complaint is very straight forward with its allegations. He says that there are 3 contracts they both signed over the course of the years, to fund Daniels film projects. Dash also states that he makes note of which agreement he is referring to for each allegation.
Further, he says that Daniels has admitted to him that he owes him the millions from the profits of the films and even attempted to offer partial payments over the years. He says these actions are enough to prove that he has a case against the famous director.
Dash accuses Daniels of attempting to drag out this legal battle and is demanding the court dismiss the directors attempt to get the case thrown out. See the exclusive court docs.
