Is Tyrese Campaigning For A Role on ‘Empire’?
His caption was in relation to the 2001 coming-of-age urban comedy-drama film Baby Boy. Tyrese starred in the John Singleton directed film, alongside Taraji P. Henson. Tyrese played the role of Jody, while Taraji played Yvette. Anywho, actor Derek Luke (who plays Taraji’s love interest) caught wind of Tyrese’s post. Posting an on-set photo of him and Taraji, Derek writes:
know how us darkskin brothers do. Jody couldn’t keep his hands off Yvette but now Malcolm can’t keep his hands out of that cookie jar #CookieMonster #teammalcolm #Empire Lol I’m sorry I had to do it out of fun. I Kept seeing this post & I couldn’t pass it up anymore. Love you brother @Tyrese
And as expected, Tyrese reacted to Derek’s post, writing:
Sometimes hands get caught in the cookie jar…… Understand this playboy…. I OWN the cookie jar…. #NoTeamDarkSkin…… #JustME… See you soon… #DumbShit link in bio
So the question remains, is Tyrese campaigning for a role on ‘Empire’? And would the actor/singer be an appropriate fit for the hit show?
