And in other news, rapper Boosie is asking for prayers, as he heads into surgery.

As previously reported, Boosie announced that he was diagnosed with cancer. On Monday evening, he posted the following on Instagram.

To all my family , fans n supporters I really appreciate the love n concern that’s been giving to me since I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Tommorrow I go n for surgery n I need prayers for a great surgery n rehabilitation at the MdAnderson cancer center GodGotme????

On Tuesday afternoon, the following was posted to Boosie’s Instagram account,

I want to thank each and everyone for all the support and love! Surgery went well..God is good! Next step recovery! Cancer has been removed from Boosie kidney… Thanks to all Boosie family and friends and all my real Boosie fans for all the prayers from#badazzmusicsyndicate… I am a#cancersurvivor
