Benzino Nephew Convicted of Shooting Him [Thug Life]
Benzino’s (Raymond Scott) nephew Gai Scott has officially been convicted. The conviction is in connection with the reality star’s shooting during a funeral procession in Massachusetts.
Reportedly, he was found guilty Thursday of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, but was cleared of armed assault with intent to murder.
As previously reported, in 2014, Benzino suffered non-life-threatening wounds to his shoulder and back.
Authorities say both men were in moving vehicles on the way to church for the funeral Benzino’s mother. Prosecutors say the shooting stemmed from a family dispute. As you’ll recall, the situation played out on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, the popular Vh1 show that Benzino was a cast member of. Gai’s sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 26.
