‘Martin Show’ Cast Attends Tommy Ford Funeral
Tommy Ford has been laid to rest. The funeral for the actor known for his role on the ‘Martin Show‘ took place Wednesday.
Today was not easy..but by the grace of God we all got through it. Words cannot express our gratitude for all of your Prayers, Positive thoughts and Support for us throughout the years. Tommy will be missed but most certainly never forgotten…

As previously reported, Tommy passed on Oct. 12, 2016, at the age of 52 years, after an aneurysm in his abdomen ruptured. His family announced the news on Instagram writing:
It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved son, father, brother, husband, and friend Tommy Mykhal Ford. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming. Please respect the privacy of the Ford family during our time of grief.
Ford received an NAACP Image Awards nomination in 1996 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on “Martin”. After Martin ended, Ford found success in the FOX detective drama New York Undercover. He played the role of Lieutenant Malcolm Barker.
Ford played a recurring role in the UPN sitcom The Parkers as Nikki’s ex-husband (and Kim’s father), Mel Parker, in 7 episodes. He played Ben Cummings in The Power of Passion as one of the characters whose wife cheats on him with the pastor.
In Harlem Nights he played Tommy Smalls, the brother of Arsenio Hall’s character. He can also be seen in the 1997 crime drama Against the Law.
