Jhene Aiko’s Ex Wants A Check
Rumor has it, Jhene Aiko may have to pay up! The singer’s estranged husband wants the 28-year-old singer to pay him alimony. According to Bossip,
Producer Dot Da Genius (30), aka Oladipo Omishore, said he needs Aiko to pay him spousal support but wants the court to stop his wife from collecting any alimony from him, according to his response to Aiko’s divorce filing, which was obtained by BOSSIP.
The pair got secretly hitched just two and a half years ago and didn’t have any children. Interesting to note, Omishore lists the date of separation as “TBD,” while Aiko insisted they split for good in July 2015.
The music maker cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce. He said he’s working on figuring out what property from the marriage that he can lay claim to as well as their joint debts. He also wants Aiko to pay his lawyer’s fees.
Omishore added a caveat to his response: he wants the judge to explain every decision he or she makes in terms of who gets spousal support and how much, as well as tax consequences, property valuation and how their stuff gets split up.
Over the summer, Jhene took to social media, responding to those questioning the demise of her marriage. In one tweet she wrote:
I only cheated myself, so glad to be free from all the drugs, depression and confrontation.
Jhene is now dating rapper Big Sean.
